(KNSI) – A man wanted on multiple counts of sexual assault was arrested on Thursday after three years on the lam.
The St. Cloud Police Department and the Stearns County Sheriff’s executed a search warrant at 9:20 a.m. in the 22000-block of Fairmount Road in Lyndon Township for Jacob Gerald Schwartz. The 40-year-old failed to attend court, and a warrant was issued for his arrest in February 2020. He was wanted on four counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, two counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct, and stalking.
Schwartz was arrested at the home along with a 49-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman. The man and woman are being held on suspicion of aiding and abetting Schwartz during his time on the run. All were transported to the Stearns County Jail.
Members of St. Cloud SWAT, the St. Cloud Community Response Team, and members of the Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force assisted the St. Cloud Police Department and Stearns County.
