(KNSI) — St. Cloud set a new record high on Thursday as our warm streak continues.
The old record of 81 was set in 2006. Yesterday’s high temp outsed it. We hit 86 degrees at 4:39 p.m.
The predicted high was 80. Our average high this time of the year is 53, which we will struggle to make as our heat bubble bursts this weekend.
Showers and thunderstorms will move in Friday afternoon, which will usher in a cold front. We’ll see highs only in the low to mid 40s for the weekend. Temps in the 50s return for next week.
