(KNSI) – The Minnesota Department of Transportation wants to know where you think electric vehicle fast-charging stations should go.
The Minnesota Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Plan identified potential locations for chargers along Interstate 94 and Interstate 35. MnDOT will use federal funds to install EV chargers. Officials want to know what other roads they should target for charging station installation.
MnDOT is asking Minnesotans to take a survey to gather input on why you might or might not want EV stations in your area. Your opinion will help MnDOT decide where to install EV chargers next and what level of power the chargers should be. The survey also asks questions about the benefits of EV chargers. MnDOT says the data will help them collect the right information to evaluate the success of investments in EV chargers.
The online survey will take about ten minutes to fill out.
St. Cloud has four charging stations with plans to add more. Sartell is adding 16 charging stations in 2023.
