(KNSI) — Minnesota is known for its lakes and wilderness, and it turns out others know it too, as we are among the top states for camping.

National lawncare service website Lawn Love said we rank tenth overall, citing access and quality of camping facilities, supplies such as tents, campers and RVs, safety and affordability. They also examined camper satisfaction and the high number of Minnesota’s city county and private campgrounds.

The state also boasts 75 state parks and recreation areas, including the 576 acre Charles A. Lindbergh State Park near Little Falls, which boasts dozens of reservable campsites.
