(KNSI) — The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Minnesota is launching an Emerging Leaders Program to prepare the next generation of nonprofit leaders by building on the current skills and talents of our professional staff so that they may become effective, transformational nonprofit leaders.

Boys & Girls Club’s Emerging Leaders Program is designed to enhance professional skills, develop competencies, and explore organizational foundations through active participation while reflecting on personal, professional and career development aspirations.

A cohort of five full-time Boys & Girls Club staff was selected for this year-long introductory program.

They are:

Serita Donovan (top left) is the Site Manager at Roosevelt Boys & Girls Club of Central Minnesota. Donovan has been at the club for one year and is involved in the Big Brothers Big Sisters Program.

Samantha Heschke (top center) is the Boys & Girls Club’s Purchasing Agent/Accounting Assistant. She has been with the Boys & Girls Club for over ten years in various roles, including site manager of Mississippi Heights KIDSTOP.

Kristin Johnson (top right) is the Senior Site Manager of the Eastside Boys & Girls Club. She has been there for 12 years, starting with an entry level position and moving her way up to a leadership role.

Faisa Omar (bottom right) is the Great Futures Coordinator at the Roosevelt Boys & Girls Club. This is her fifth year as an employee of the Boys & Girls Club; however, Fay was a member of the Club from age eight to 18.
