(KNSI) – A child from Becker was killed, and another suffered serious injuries in a crash on Highway 10 on Thursday night.
The Minnesota State Patrol says a van driven by a 32-year-old woman was headed west around 7:00 p.m. when she hit a cement wall near Armstrong Boulevard in Ramsey. The van rolled over and landed on its roof.
The driver and her two passengers were rushed to Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids. Officials say five-year-old Elijah Reardon died from injuries suffered in the crash. A four-year-old is being treated for life-threatening injuries. The driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The state patrol says the road was icy at the time. The crash remains under investigation.
