(KNSI) — Sartell St. Stephen Superintendent Dr. Jeffrey Ridlehoover is leaving the district.
Rockford Area Schools ISD 883 announced on its Facebook page it has extended a contract to Ridlehoover “after thoughtful deliberation.”
The district had a meet and greet community interview Wednesday afternoon and posted the announcement later Wednesday night.
Ridlehoover has been the Sartell St. Stephen Superintendent since July of 2021, when he took over for the retiring Jeff Schwiebert. Dr. Ridlehoover came here after serving as assistant superintendent of the Mounds View School District. He was also a science and chemistry teacher, associate principal, assistant principal, principal, and adjunct professor at Hamline University.
Dr. Ridlehoover issued a statement saying:
“ISD 748 Families:
“Thank you to all parents, guardians, families, and community members for your partnership in educating the students of our Sartell-St. Stephen community.
“It has truly been a pleasure to work with such dedicated, caring, and competent educators and staff. Their dedication to students, families, and each other is beyond compare. Sartell-St. Stephen is very fortunate to have such dynamic and caring education professionals.
“After thoughtful consideration, I have accepted the superintendent position for Rockford Area Schools beginning after the 2022-2023 school year.
“While I am excited for this new opportunity, I am also sad to be moving on from Sartell-St. Stephen, which is one of the most incredible school districts in our state.
“I look forward to our continued partnership as we continue our great work for our students through the remainder of the 2022-23 school year.”
Sincerely,
Dr. Jeff Ridlehoover
Superintendent
Sartell-St. Stephen ISD 748
