(KNSI) – St. Cloud has closed its outdoor skating rinks, including Lake Goerge.
The park and recreation department says with warm weather leading to open ice last week and the heavy snow this week, the decision was made to close the Lake George Warming Shelter and all other ice rinks in St Cloud on Tuesday. Officials say the swings in weather have made the ice poor and unsafe.
The ice rinks were at Centennial, Haws, Northway, Raymond, Rolling Ridge, Rotary West, Schmidt, Seberger, Southwood Heights and Talahi Parks.
