Accident Closes Monticello City Hall, Community Center, and Senior Center

(KNSI) – The Monticello City Hall, Senior Center, and Community Center are closed after a pickup truck crashed through the east doors of the building on Thursday morning.

A press release from the Wright County Sheriff’s Office says the accident happened at 8:00. The 1998 Chevrolet pickup truck was driven by an adult man, who was the only person inside the vehicle. He suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation. The City of Monticello website and Facebook page will provide updates on when the facility will reopen.
