(KNSI) — A firefighter was hospitalized after a silo fire in Douglas County.
According to the sheriff’s department, the Osakis Fire Department was fighting a fire in a silo in rural Osakis Saturday morning when the top blew off and crashed down onto two fire trucks. One was so heavily damaged it was taken out of service.
A firefighter was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Alexandria and Villard fire departments, Osakis First Responders and North Ambulance assisted at the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
