(KNSI) – A roofing company in St. Cloud has outgrown its current location and will move to a building with more than four times the space.
Oberg Roofing & Remodeling closed this week on the Aria Communications property at 717 West St. Germain Street. The company is going from 5,000 square feet to 22,500 square feet of space. Owner Caleb Oberg tells KNSI News that all the extra room will allow him to make a place that’s inviting to come to work. “We’re doing some really cool stuff. We’re going to have a gym and some co-ed lockers, and we’re going to have a lounge area. There’s going to be a really cool breakroom, and we’re going to have a training room.”
He says the new place has a parking lot with 26 spaces for the company’s vehicles. The remodel will also include a showroom for customers. Caleb says people can walk in and look at a 3D model of their home to see what it would look like with different colors and products. “When you bring a sample out to the house, it’s a small piece, and it doesn’t really give the visualization that’s needed for them to do a whole redo of the exterior of their house. So, we’re going to be taking advantage of those spaces and the technology that we do have to be able to help them to design their house in a better way.”
He plans to start redoing the inside in March and hopes to move to the new location in August. The old Aria building used to be a bank, and he says there are special plans for one of the vaults. People will have to wait until the remodeling is finished to find out what it is.
Oberg Roofing started in 2017 with Caleb and one other person working from his house. The business has grown to over 45 employees today.
