(KNSI) — Outdoor enthusiasts have a couple of chances next month to get out and play in the snow in Stearns County parks.

Kraemer Lake – Wildwood County Park is hosting the Wildwood Ranch Snowstomp on February 18th. It’s from 1:00 to 3:00 and starts at the Wildwood Ranch Maple Syrup Sugar House. Participants can make snowshoe trails through the woods.

No registration is required. Snacks and refreshments will be provided.

The other event is the first of its kind at Warner Lake County Park. It’s a moonlight hike set for Friday, February 24th. Hikers will head out from the Warner Lake Nature Center at 5:00 p.m. and enjoy two miles of luminary walking along the inside loop. Headlamps are suggested for the outside loop. Afterward, there will be a bonfire, s’mores and hot drinks to warm up, along with door prizes. The event wraps up at 8:00.
