(KNSI) — The St. Cloud area rose to the challenge this holiday season.
Stearns Bank and the Central Minnesota Community Foundation announced a record-breaking haul for its 2021 community challenge.
Once you include the company’s $150,000 match, the total comes out to an impressive $665,000. The Stearns Bank Community Challenge has been around since 2000, and proceeds raised go to food shelves run by Catholic Charities, the Salvation Army, and the Church of St. Joseph.
Stearns Bank Chief Marketing Officer Rory Bidinger says, “We are truly humbled by Central Minnesota’s generosity.”
The Community Challenge has been organized by the Central Minnesota Community Foundation since 2000. Executive Director Greta Stark-Kraker says this year’s record was incredibly gracious. She says the event helps those in need and is a great symbol of “faith, hope, love, and joy.”
