(KNSI) – The Minnesota Department of Health confirms 980 new cases of COVID-19 today along with 12 newly reported deaths.
The death count includes one person from Benton County in their 90s.
In the St. Cloud area, there are 90 new cases: nine in Benton County, three in Morrison County, 17 in Sherburne County, 34 in Stearns County and 27 in Wright County.
Out of more than 21,000 tests processed by the state on Sunday, 4.6 percent came back positive.
Minnesota’s hospitalization rate also continues to go down. Statewide, 612 people are hospitalized for COVID-19; 125 of those patients are in the ICU.
Per MDH’s latest COVID-19 vaccination data, 11,600 people in the five-county area have gotten at least their first dose of the vaccine.
