(KNSI) – The University of Minnesota Extension Office in Stearns County is on the move.
Formerly located in the Midtown Square Mall on Division Street in St. Cloud, the office is now at the county’s Service Center at 3301 County Road 138 in Waite Park. Auditor-Treasurer Randy Schreifels says the move is one of convenience. He says in an email that farmers, who mostly live in the western portion of the county, will have better access to the new site. A permanent office will be set up by February.
Schreifels also mentions that the move will save Stearns County money by bringing the extension in-house to a property the county already owns and operates. Walk-in service is available except on Thursdays.
The extension’s phone number is staying the same at 320-255-6169.
