(KNSI) — Santa Claus was in St. Cloud on Saturday, making a very special visit.
Not just the one with his sleigh and reindeer that gets attention, either. He toured the city with the fire department early in the day to help deliver a touch of Christmas to needy families, including meals and gifts.
IAFF Local 464 President Tony Rivera says spending time with Santa and seeing the joy on the faces of children as they open their presents is something that the firefighters look forward to all year long. Rivera says his members are often interacting with people on their worst day and to instead get to see families celebrating Christmas together is “something special.”
Members of the fire department donated the meals, and gifts were donated by local businesses, including Gilleland Chevrolet, Pleasureland RV- St. Cloud, and Rollies.
