(KNSI) — The Minnesota Department of Transportation says that due to popular demand, the public is invited to help name another round of eight snowplows – one for each MnDOT district in the state.
People are encouraged to submit their most witty, unique and Minnesota or winter-themed snowplow name ideas on the agency’s website.
Each person may only submit one name; submissions are limited to 30 characters (including letters and spaces), no profanity or inappropriate language, and politically inspired words, including phrases, slogans or plays on a politician’s name, will not be considered.
Submissions will be accepted by clicking here until December 16th. MnDOT staff will review and select some of the best ideas. Voting will open in January.
Last year, there were 24,000 suggestions which were narrowed down to 50. The winners were Betty Whiteout, Ctrl Salt Delete, The Big Leplowski, Plowasaurus Rex, Scoop Dogg, Blizzard of Oz, No More Mr. Ice Guy, and Edward Blizzardhands.
