(KNSI) — The St. Cloud Police Department says one person is in custody after a shooting Saturday night.
According to a press release, a 31-year-old Minneapolis man called for help just before 10:00, saying he was shot in the stomach in an apartment on the 1400 block of 9th Avenue South. The victim was rushed to St. Cloud Hospital for treatment, where he was listed in serious but stable condition.
The suspect, a 31-year-old from St. Cloud, was arrested at the scene. A search warrant was executed, and a gun was recovered.
Investigators say the victim was visiting the suspect, and the two got into an argument that turned physical. During the fight, they say the suspect took out the gun and shot the victim once.
KNSI does not typically name suspects until they have been formally charged.
