(KNSI) – Hope for The Holidays is teaming up with KNSI sister station 104.7 KCLD for a second year to adopt families for Christmas in central Minnesota.

Kat from KCLD’s Morning Playhouse says the organization is looking for people to adopt families of all sizes. “You can tell Hope for the Holidays how many people you want to buy for. It’s just it works with your budget. And then, once you get that warm and fuzzy [feeling] it’s kind of addicting.”

They typically ask participants to spend around $75 per family member.

She says helping out can become a family tradition. “I also love to encourage parents to bring their kids along and help pick out the gifts because then they’re involved. And the odds of them continuing on that tradition with Hope for the Holidays are massive.”

Last year, the Sauk Rapids based nonprofit helped 86 families in the area. To adopt a family in need, click here.
