(KNSI) – Minnesota reports 1,504 new COVID-19 cases and 50 deaths Wednesday. The new deaths include one person from Benton County in their 60s and one person from Stearns County in their 80s.
Overall, the five-county area adds 129 new cases: 17 in Benton, 4 in Morrison County, 14 in Sherburne County, 48 in Stearns and 46 in Wright County.
Just shy of 24,000 COVID-19 tests were processed by the state yesterday, and 6.3 percent of those tests were positive.
There are fewer COVID-19 patients hospitalized Wednesday than Tuesday; currently, 665 people are in Minnesota hospitals for COVID-19, and 129 of those folks are receiving intensive care.
The Stearns County COVID-19 dashboard says 345 county residents currently have active cases of the disease. In Benton County, that number is 78.
