(KNSI) — A member of the Sherburne County Board of Commissioners is accused of taking thousands of videos and photos of his now ex-fiancé without her permission.

Court documents say the woman owned the business where 39-year-old Timothy Dolan worked. He gave her access to his phone and computer after he suffered an aortic aneurysm in May so business could continue as usual while he was recovering. She said she found 20,000 images and videos which showed her in various states of undress, using the shower, while she was sleeping and at other times, which were taken without her knowledge or permission. She also found evidence of financial transactions he was not authorized to make and fired him.

After he was fired, she was granted a harassment restraining order against him but said Dolan terrorized her by stalking and harassing her, texting her constantly, sending messages to her family, tagging her two businesses on social media posts and posting photos of her on social media to create a narrative about her. A separate investigation into the alleged financial wrongdoing is underway.

Anoka County handled the investigation due to Dolan’s position, but further court proceedings will take place in Sherburne County. He is charged with five counts of interfering with privacy, one count of stalking, and one count of violating a restraining order. He will be back in court on November 16th.

Dolan is not seeking re-election.
