Rox S.A.V.E. Foundation Expanding Number of Area Scholarships

(KNSI) – The St. Cloud Rox S.A.V.E Foundation is increasing the total amount of scholarships it awards to area students.

The baseball team’s charitable arm gave out six $2,000 scholarships in 2022, or $12,000. The winners were announced at Joe Faber Field during a presentation on the diamond before a July home game.

Plans for 2023 call for 21 $1,000 scholarships. Most will go to students representing accomplishments in sports, art, volunteerism, and education. Those pillars give S.A.V.E. its name.

Five will be set aside for students going to technical college for a future career in the automotive industry, thanks to a partnership with central Minnesota NAPA and Auto Care stores.
