(KNSI) – Voters are running out of time to get their names on the books ahead of November’s general election.
The Stearns County Auditor Treasurer’s Office says you have until October 18th to update your home address or register to vote if you are a first-time voter in Minnesota. It can be done on the Secretary of State’s website. Voters who register on or before then will have their names placed on the roster in their polling place.
State statute requires voters to register 21 days before an election. If you fail to register by the 18th, you will be required to enroll at your polling place on Election Day.
