Veterans Bridge Set For Lane Closures Next Week

(KNSI) – Lane closures will continue to affect the area immediately surrounding the Veterans Bridge in St. Cloud.

Utility work has had parts of 1st and 2nd Street North down to one lane for nearly a month. Next up are repairs to the bridge itself. Between 5th Avenue North and Riverside Drive Northeast, a lane will be closed in both directions next week. Crews are expected to be on-site from 9:00 a.m to 2:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Veterans Bridge crosses the Mississippi River just north of downtown. The work is weather dependent. At this time, the National Weather Service is predicting a sunny start to the work week on October 17th. It will be cold though. The high is expected to be in the low-40’s, well below average for that time of year.
