(KNSI) — Oberg Roofing and Remodeling in St. Cloud has been given a prestigious honor by the Better Business Bureau of Minnesota and North Dakota.
The company was given the Spark Award for Entrepreneurship. According to a press release, the award recognizes emerging leaders in the community who’ve launched a business in the last five years.
The company started in 2017 with two people, including himself, and has grown to around 45 today. CEO Caleb Oberg explained what it felt like to hear the president of the BBB read off their name.
“And as he’s reading it off, I’m freaking out because I’m like, oh my gosh, it sounds like my company. And so, to be there and to be honored for this is just a huge deal, and I’m just very shocked, and I love it.”
Oberg says the business recently installed a roof for a veteran in rural Sauk Rapids and a home in Roseville for a needy family.
“All of the things that we have been doing to get honored for this award, we’re looking to grow on those things and be sustainable in every aspect of what we’ve already accomplished.”
