(KNSI) — Just a few weeks after announcing the “long regional nightmare will be over” by mid-September, the Minnesota Department of Transportation has announced that is not the case.
According to MnDOT, there will be a nighttime lane closure at the intersection of Interstate 94 and Highway 25 in Monticello beginning Tuesday, September 27th and running through Friday, October 7th.
The nighttime closures will be in place for median barrier removal, construction and paving.
MnDOT officials had said the week of Labor Day they would be finalizing the work on the 15-mile stretch between Monticello and Clearwater that began in 2019.
Advanced signage is in place to notify drivers of the lane closures.
