(KNSI) – The Sartell-St. Stephen School Board approved a new district strategic plan at Monday’s meeting.

The new mission statement is titled “Future Minded, Student Focused.” Chair Patrick Marushin says what a student wants out of their experience in the district will vary from person to person. He says an individual’s definition of personal excellence depends on abilities, interests, and aspirations.

Superintendent Jeff Ridlehoover says the school system is focused on creating a curriculum that will continue to pay dividends in the years and decades ahead.

Marushin says, “The superintendent will develop an annual District Operating Plan (DOP) that will consist of specific goals aligned with each of the strategic directions.”

The new plan replaces one first passed ten years ago.
