(KNSI) – The St. Cloud Rox S.A.V.E. Foundation will be providing a free book once per month this school year to over 400 students at Lincoln Elementary.
The RBI Club, which stands for Reading Books Independently, supplies materials to third through fifth graders. The school’s teachers will select from over 1,000 Scholastic titles.
Lori Posch of District 742 says few things help develop a love for reading more than getting a free book, in brand-new condition, that the students can keep for themselves.
Foundation Chief Administrator Jim Loria says Wells and CLA’s corporate support ensures that every book handed out is paid for in full by Project S.A.V.E., the nonprofit arm of the Rox Baseball Club.
The program lasts for six months. This is its second year. Oak Hill Elementary was selected for the inaugural initiative.
