(KNSI) – Central Minnesota’s largest health care provider is looking for a few good workers.
CentraCare Health is holding its second annual career fair later this month. Sourcing Specialist Nick Jungles says they will be conducting on-the-spot interviews.
“Bring a resume with you if you have one. That would be ideal. Otherwise, just a cell phone. And we can get you all set up with meeting the right people, finding the right job for you and help you find your purpose here at CentraCare.”
Workers are needed in 40 departments across all parts of the hospital and clinics. Sourcing Specialist Anne Hershberger started as a teacher and transitioned into a new career.
“I was hired on as a recruiter, and I was promoted shortly after that. I feel CentraCare is willing to take a chance on people that are new to the industry. And they’re really looking to groom and upskill you and train you to do really great things across our organization.”
She says recruiters and hiring managers will be on hand to talk to candidates about various careers in health care, including positions in hospitals, clinics, and senior living communities. Many jobs do not require prior experience. Those include environmental services (cleaning staff), nutrition services, pharmacy technicians, endoscopy technicians, check-in staff, nursing assistants, and more.
Last year, the organization hired around 30 people. The career fair is on September 19th from noon to 6:00 p.m. in the Prairie East (northeast) parking lot of the CentraCare Plaza, 1900 CentraCare Circle, St. Cloud.
Vaccinations are required to work at CentraCare. There are medical and religious exemptions. The healthcare provider employs around 7,000 people in the St. Cloud area. CentraCare has about 13,000 workers in 30 communities in central, western and southwestern Minnesota.
