(KNSI) – ROCORI 35, Delano 7: Spartan quarterback Jack Spanier threw for a touchdown and ran for two others as ROCORI rolled against the Tigers. The defense forced a fumble on the first play from scrimmage following a touchback. After an eight-play drive, Spanier punched it in from a yard out on the keeper. Spanier found Hunter Nistler for a 28-yard touchdown pass on the very next offensive play. ROCORI also scored on a five-yard run from Hunter Nistler, a two-yard dive by fullback Luke Van Erp, and a four-yard draw from Spanier.
Sauk Rapids-Rice 20, Sartell-St. Stephen 12: The Storm never trailed in their rivalry game versus the Sabres. SR-R opened the scoring as quarterback Jack Klein found receiver Andrew Harren for 33 yards on a 4th and 3 play. Sartell tied it up late in the 2nd quarter and the teams were even at six at halftime. Klein snuck it in from the one-yard line in the third and he had another connection with Harren to make it 20-6 Storm. Sartell scored with under a minute left. Quarterback Cole Hentges delivered a 10-yard TD pass to make it a one-possession game.
