(KNSI) – The Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Minnesota Stuff The Bus campaign helped equip hundreds of students with supplies just before school starts for the academic year.
Senior Director of Communications Aimee Minnerath says the results bested 2021’s pandemic-affected drive.
“We were very successful this year over last year. I think things were just a little bit weird last year and we weren’t seeing as many kids in person last year either for programming. So, I think this is really right on target for where we need to be. 230 youth, that is pretty good.”
The Spanier bus where donations were made was located outside the Crossroads Center Mall in St. Cloud for most of August. The final supplies were dropped off on August 22nd.
Minnerath says a range of local and regional companies helped, in addition to Spanier.
“There were a number of business partners that got involved in the community as well. Amazon…our local Amazon distributor got involved, Capital One, Old Navy stores from St Cloud all the way down through the Twin Cities got involved, as well as DeZURIK.”
The campaign ended on August 22nd. Everything was distributed by last Friday.
