(KNSI) – Allegiant Air will once again take to the friendly skies over St. Cloud beginning in October.

The carrier says service will continue through mid-May to Mesa, Arizona, and Punta Gorda, Florida. Each destination will have an arriving and departing flight twice a week. For Arizona, service will occur on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Florida flights will be Thursdays and Sundays.

Service expands to four times per week from mid-February through March to accommodate Spring Break travel. Allegiant says last year was the second busiest ever for the carrier at St. Cloud Regional Airport. It has run winter flights out of the area since 2012.

Airport Authority Board Chair Brian Myres says, “The St. Cloud Regional Airport offers an easy, convenient way to travel to these warm weather destinations over the winter and spring season.”
