(KNSI) – Officials have released the name of a woman from Willmar who was killed in a crash with a garbage truck on Tuesday morning.
The Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office says 56-year-old Nicolasa Bernabe-Lopez was driving a 2003 Dodge Caravan when she collided with the truck at the intersection of 60th Street Southwest and 105th Avenue Southwest or about five miles east of Raymond. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Deputies say the truck’s driver, 47-year-old Rodolfo Gomez of Atwater, suffered minor injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
