(KNSI) — After a week of hot, breezy, and dry weather, severe thunderstorms are forecast for Saturday.
Central Minnesota is at a slight risk – or two out of five – for severe weather. Forecasters don’t have an exact time on when we could see development of the storms as it depends on how the system plays out in the Dakotas overnight.
The greatest risk for the St. Cloud area is hail and damaging winds. The eastern part of the state has a better shot at hail over two inches in diameter and winds over 75 miles an hour. An isolated tornado is also possible.
The National Weather Service says to have multiple ways to get warnings and information if you have outdoor plans on Saturday.
