(KNSI) – Central Minnesotans can register to vote for next month’s Primary Election online.
Pre-registration for the primary is open until July 19th. Voters who register on or before the date will have their names placed on the voting roster at their polling place for the Primary Election on August 9th.
When someone pre-registers, credentials are verified before election day. This saves time at the polling place by having information pre-checked beforehand. Those who do not pre-register must show proof of identity when they vote on election day.
The online application can be accessed at mnvotes.org. Voters can register and update their existing registration.
No excuse absentee voting for the primary started on June 24th. Ballots can be cast at the Stearns County Service Senter in Waite Park and St. Cloud City Hall.
Any questions can be directed to the Stearns County Auditor-Treasurer’s office at 320-656-3920.
