(KNSI) – An event for dog and beer lovers in the Twin Cities is expanding to greater Minnesota.
The 6th Annual Sidewalk Dog Minneapolis-St. Paul Dog-Friendly Brewery Pass includes 33 metro breweries and for the first time, 14 other breweries across the state, including Beaver Island Brewery Company in St. Cloud and Third Street Brewery in Cold Spring. Lupulin Brewing in Big Lake is also on the tour.
Organizer Danielle Cole says they reached out to the area beer makers to be part of the event.
“And those two breweries are really well known for being dog-friendly. Third Street Brewhouse in Cold Spring…that one has a very dog-friendly patio and then Beaver Island Brew Co., which is in St Cloud proper, they actually are dog friendly both inside and outside.”
She says [get rid of ‘the’] Sidewalk Dog started the event to give people another chance to get outside and enjoy time with their four-legged friends. Cole explains how beer pass works.
“It’s kind of a passport style, so there’s a section for stamps. It shows all of the breweries, so you’ll bring it into the brewery, select your beer and they’ll stamp it off for you. So it’s a pretty simple process.”
Pass holders have until March 31st, 2023, to collect all their beers and stamps. The cost is $30 per passport. Five percent of sales go to the American Humane Society, which partners with the Tri-County Humane Society in St. Cloud.
