(KNSI) – A 35-year-old Rice man is believed to have run a stop sign Thursday morning, leading to a crash involving another vehicle.

Jeffrey Kaeter was driving a Ford F-150 west on County Road 5 in Brockway Township when he entered the intersection with County Road 3, colliding into a 2001 Chevy S-10. Both trucks were badly damaged and 21-year-old Ethan Hennix of Oak Park suffered serious injuries. Hennix was taken to St. Cloud Hospital for treatment.

The accident happened at 6:37. Assisting the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office at the scene were the Holdingford Fire Department and Mayo Ambulance. Minnesota State Patrol aided deputies in reconstructing the crash. The collision is still under investigation.
