(KNSI) – Applications are being accepted for archery hunting at Camp Ripley near Little Falls.

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources says 2,500 tags will be available for the 2022 three-day hunt. The archery season will open on the military base from October 28th-30th.

The DNR is allowing hunters to take up to two deer. A bonus tag will be needed to take a doe or antlerless deer. The application fee is $14.

The archery hunt at Camp Ripley is an annual event. The DNR coordinates the hunt in collaboration with Central Lakes College Natural Resources Department and the Minnesota Department of Military Affairs, which manages the 53,000-acre military reservation.

Additional rules and instructions will be posted on the DNR website by early August. The deadline to apply is August 19th.
