(KNSI) – Law enforcement in the St. Cloud area took part in the annual Minnesota Special Olympics Torch Run on Wednesday.

The torch was carried by members of the Stearns-Benton County SWAT Team, Granite Lodge 17 and Stearns County Sheriff Steve Soyka. They took the torch through Stearns County on its way to the Twin Cities.

The run started in Royalton and headed down Highway 10 into St. Cloud, ending at Munsinger Gardens, where the torch was handed off to the Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office.

The Minnesota State Patrol and the Rice Police Department assisted in the escort.
