(KNSI) – A 3-D archery shoot that was postponed from the end of April is finally taking place, and that means a Stearns County Park is closed for the rest of the weekend.
Mississippi River County Park will not be open to the public through 10:00 p.m. Sunday, taking away one waterside spot for area residents looking to keep cool under extremely hot conditions.
For a fee of $25 per person, teams of up to four can navigate a course that features dozens of realistic targets, resembling deer, elk, and other animals.
The shoot is put on by the Great River Archery Club. They host a weekly event at Mississippi River County Park on Thursday evenings through the summer. Last weekend, the group organized the Minnesota State Archery Association tournament.
