(KNSI) – WACOSA is promoting its vice president to the organization’s top spot.
Nancy Betts will take over as executive director on July 1st. She has been the vice president since 2018 and will work alongside Steve Howard, WACOSA’s current executive director, until he officially retires on September 30th.
According to a press release, Betts has worked with people with disabilities for over 25 years at WACOSA. Betts and her team have created multiple specialized programs, helped create ThriftWorks! thrift store, developed an autism spectrum disorder curriculum, and most recently were involved in WACOSA’s innovative connect academy.
WACOSA is a nonprofit organization that works with adults with disabilities from graduation through retirement.
