(KNSI) — Drivers on Highway 15 through St. Cloud next week will have to plan for extra time to get where they’re going.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation warns starting Monday, June 13th, between Interstate 94 and Highway 23, from sunrise to sunset; there will be alternating lane closures in both directions and flagging operations when needed. The work will also be done in segments, so the work zones will be moving and changing.
MnDOT will micro-surface the pavement, which will renew the road surface and seal minor cracks and other irregularities, such as pavement wheel ruts.
MnDOT advises travelers to slow down when approaching and driving through the work zone. The fine for a work zone speeding violation is $300. They also ask drivers to be on the lookout for workers and slow-moving equipment.
