(KNSI) – The Waite Park Family Fun Fest’s busiest day is here. Festival President Michael Bruemmer says, “Kids Day rock n’ rolls! We start at 9 o’clock [AM] and we keep going until the movie’s over with. That’s like 9 o’clock [PM].
The movie in question is Disney’s Moana. Tying into the Pacific Island motif is the theme for this year’s festival, “The Ocean Is Calling.” Kids are encouraged to dress up as their favorite Moana character or sea creature for the Kiddie Parade at 5:45. The route begins at the Waite Park City Hall and ends at the Community Park. When the marching is finished, the film will begin.
During the day there is a special program put on by the library. The story of a bull traveling to America comes to life courtesy of puppets. The Boy Scouts will be selling food and refreshments. Inflatables pop up in the park at noon. The Home Depot sponsors wood projects and train tours will be happening at the STARail Museum.
A bike rodeo, cooking decorating, and a craft make and take event round out the schedule.
Waite Park Family Fun Fest continues through Friday.
