(KNSI) – The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office is crediting first responders with saving a man’s life Tuesday afternoon.

Eighty-six-year-old Jerome Micholski was driving a side-by-side on property he owns in Lakin Township when the side-by-side slid down an embankment and into a creek. The vehicle rolled, pinning Micholski underneath.

He was taken to St. Cloud Hospital for treatment and the extent of his injuries is unknown. Meeker County Sheriff Shawn Larsen says EMTs and other first responders acted heroically, saving Micholski’s life.

Assisting was the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, Mt. Morris, Lakin, Morrill, Buckman First Response Team, and Mayo Clinic Ambulance.
