(KNSI) — Jules’ Bistro and the Paramount Center for the Arts are teaming up to benefit a nonprofit helping displaced Ukrainians.
Central Minnesotans for Ukraine is coming up Tuesday, June 28th, at the Paramount and the Regency downtown St. Cloud. Guests will have the ability to choose their ticket donation level of $20, $50, or $100. Premiere ticket and artist-designed t-shirt packages are available for organizations and individuals who wish to donate $500 or more to support the cause.
All ticket proceeds will go to Minneapolis-based Alight. Alight’s rapid response teams are meeting with displaced Ukrainians to help them process, connect, and navigate starting over following the Russian invasion, which began in February. Since then, 25% of the population has fled the country.
Local musicians Michael Shynes, Ted Manderfeld, Paul Diethelm, Pamela McNeill, and Quinn Sullivan with Bennett Vee are donating their time and talents for a concert to support the event. Showtime is at 7:30 p.m.
There will be a virtual silent auction consisting of pieces created and donated by local artists who were asked to incorporate the sunflower, a Ukrainian symbol of peace and resistance against the invasion. The works will be on display directly across from the Paramount in the Regency Venue the night of the event. The auction will open on June 22nd through the Paramount website and close the night of the event.
