(KNSI) – A motorcyclist from Rice was killed after hitting a truck pulling a skid steer near St. Stephen. The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office says 31 year old Daniel Theisen was rounding a curve on County Road 2 east of 79th Avenue in Brockway Township around 6 p.m. on Friday when he crashed.
Officails say Theisen was riding a Yamaha Street Bike around a sweeping curve when a 2015 Dodge Ram and trailer, driven by a 22 year old man from Sartell, began to go around the same curve. Deputies say as the two were rounding the curve, Theisen struck the trailer. He was pronounced deceased on the scene.
The truck driver wasn’t hurt. The crash remains under investigation.
