(KNSI) — The severe thunderstorm watch issued by the National Weather Service earlier Monday morning has moved east.
A severe thunderstorm watch means conditions are favorable for severe storms. The watch includes Benton, Morrison, Sherburne, and Wright Counties. Kandiyohi, Meeker and Stearns Counties have been removed from the watch area.
A storm system containing gusty winds and baseball sized hail roared through central Minnesota earlier Monday morning.
The watch is still in effect until 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 9th.
