(KNSI) — Quarry Park is closed Tuesday for a prescribed burn.
Officials with the Stearns County Parks Department say a few of the parks in the system will be closed for burns this spring. “Prescribed burning is a tool used by resource managers to achieve various land management goals.”
Quarry Park in Waite Park is one of several the county will use fire to help clear underbrush and promote new growth.
Quarry Park was also closed last week for a prescribed burn.
