(KNSI) – Cheers will be echoing throughout the Rock Pile again soon, and you could be there. Coming off a banner year in 2021, going 50-18, the Rox are once again counting on home support to make Joe Faber Field an intimidating place to play.
Single-game tickets go on sale Tuesday morning at 10:00. There are three ways to buy, including online, at the box office on the west end of the Municipal Athletic Complex, or by calling (320) 240-9798.
The Rox added four position players to the roster just last week. Jared Thomas is a catcher and outfielder at Loyola Marymount, where he hit over .300 this season for the Lions. Will Worthington, who is looking to set up camp in the middle infield, plays college at the University of San Diego. He grew up out west in Phoenix, Arizona. Michael McNamara continues the pipeline between Kent State University and Saint Cloud. Trever Austin is a shortstop with the Mercer Bears.
The team’s home opener is Friday, June 3rd against the Minnesota Mud Puppies. The Rox are promising a host of promotions, from Friday Night Fireworks to Star Wars Night in late July.
The Northwoods League for college players, getting them experience using wooden bats, rather than the aluminum version featured at the NCAA level. It is considered a proving ground for those with dreams of taking the field professionally.
Tickets range from $30 on the Beaver Island Sports Deck down the third baseline, featuring all-you-can-eat concessions, to $10 for General Admission.
