(KNSI) — A 34-year-old Hibbing man was hospitalized after being pinned under a vehicle.

The St. Cloud Police Department says crews were called to Yellow Cab on the 2600 block of 7th Street North just before 5:00 a.m. Saturday morning. Police and members of the St. Cloud Fire Department got him out from underneath the vehicle, and he was taken to St. Cloud Hospital.

A press release says investigators found tools consistent with the illegal removal of catalytic converters, a common target of thieves. A baggie of white powder suspected to be methamphetamine based on field testing was also found underneath where the man was lying.

Employees at the scene told officers the person did not work there. They say he was not a mechanic and not doing any legitimate vehicle repair.

The case is being sent to the Stearns County Attorney’s Office to review drug and theft charges.
